CTS Awareness
  • Cheque Truncation System (CTS) – physical cheques are not moved; images and data are transmitted electronically.
  • Faster clearing: normally T+1 or T+2 days.
  • Mandatory CTS-2010 standard features: pantograph, micro lettering, bank's logo in ultraviolet.
  • Reduces clearing cycle and risk of loss in transit.
  • Applicable to all cheques irrespective of amount.
Ensure your cheques are CTS compliant (leaf from bank)
PPS Awareness
  • Positive Pay System (RBI mandate) for cheques ₹5,00,000 & above.
  • Submit cheque details (date, payee, amount, beneficiary) via any of the 4 channels above.
  • Details must be provided at least 24 hours before presentation.
  • Cheque may be returned if details mismatch or not submitted.
  • Re-confirmation through SMS / app before final clearing.
  • Protects against fraud, forged cheques, and alteration.
